In our sessions, you can expect a space that’s genuine, relational, and tailored just for you. Relationships are incredibly important to me, so I take my time getting to know you—not just in the first session, but throughout our work together. 

HOW IT WORKS

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; every intervention and approach is curated based on who you are and what you need. And just so you know, I’m human too. I cuss a little, I laugh a lot, and I bring my full self into the room. You’ll get honesty, compassion, and a little humor along the way.

Next, you will receive an intake packet via email that you will fill out before your first session.Once all of that paperwork is completed, all that is left is preparing for therapy!

Book a free 15 minute consultation with me by clicking here. During the consultation call we will discuss your current needs and goals and decide if we are a good match.

After deciding that we are a good fit, we will select a time slot for regular appointments. If for any reason we are not the best fit, I am always able to provide appropriate referrals.

how do i pay for sessions?

Beyond the Sesh accepts self pay as well as insurance. Currently paneled with the following insurances:

  • United Healthcare/Optum
  • Aetna
  • CareFirst BCBS

If your insurance provider is not listed, I am considered an out-of-network provider. You can still work with me by paying out-of-pocket, using an HSA/FSA account, or submitting a superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement

HOW ARE SESSIONS HELD?

All services at Beyond the Sesh are virtual and conducted via a secure HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

Since sessions are held virtually, all clients receiving therapeutic services must permanently reside in Washington, DC or Virginia, where the therapist is currently licensed.

HOW OFTEN ARE SESSIONS BOOKED?

Each person has different needs, so the frequency of the sessions depends on individual needs and goals. I currently offer weekly, biweekly, and monthly sessions. Starting out, I prefer to meet with clients at least on a biweekly schedule to build a strong therapeutic alliance. We will discuss how often you would like to meet during the first session.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Missed Appointments:
If you do not provide 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be charged a full session rate of $150 for the missed session.
*Multiple cancellations/no shows in a short period of time may result in the loss of standing appointments
Late Cancellations:
Life happens! If you need to cancel an appointment last minute, I may be able to reschedule that appointment within the same week (dependent on my schedule). Otherwise, there will be a fee equal to a full session rate of $150.
I require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
