Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Evaluation report?

Evaluations include a clinical interview, mental status examination, self-report questionnaires, and a review of biopsychosocial history. Standardized assessment tools are used to better understand emotional and psychological distress, and relevant medical or psychiatric records are reviewed when available. The evaluation focuses on current symptoms and the impact of trauma and concludes with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.

how much does it cost? how do i pay?

Psychological Evaluation (120 mins) + Written Report | $800

Clients are responsible for 75% of that fee at the time of the evaluation session. The remaining 25% is due after the final report has been submitted to the attorney.

what if i don't speak english fluently?

That is no problem!

I am a native Spanish speaker and can provide evaluations in Spanish. For clients who speak other languages, I collaborate with certified professional interpreters to ensure you feel comfortable, understood, and supported throughout the process. Working with qualified interpreters also helps ensure that evaluations are accurate, thorough, and culturally responsive.

how long does the evaluation process take?

The evaluation process typically takes 2-3 weeks, with the draft report sent to your attorney within 7-10 business days of the evaluation session.

do you offer expedited evalutions?

Yes, I do offer expedited evaluations. If you have a deadline approaching or an urgent need, please let me know as soon as possible.

Expedited services are available for an additional $300 fee, depending on scheduling and the complexity of the case.

how effective are evaluations for my case?

A psychological evaluation cannot guarantee the outcome of your case, as decisions are made by immigration officials or the court. However, a well-prepared evaluation can significantly strengthen your case by clearly documenting the psychological impact of your experiences.

Individuals with evaluations are almost twice as likely to be granted immigration relief, with recent data showing that 81.6% of applicants were approved. (Learn more)
